24-hour EEG results

After a very long wait, we finally got Allie’s 24-hour EEG results and things look surprisingly good.

The neurologist said she still has the expected abnormalities from the stroke but the test didn’t show any seizure activity.  While it’s possible that the extra bit of additional medicine she now takes made a difference, we don't really know why these results are so much better than the shorter EEG.

The doctor noted it was particularly good that no seizure activity was observed during deep sleep.  This couldn't be tested for during the routine EEG and is very important for learning.

Now we can focus on more fun things, like train shows (shown above).

Andrew in Minnesota

I had a work meeting in Minnesota and Andrew tagged along to visit Gama and Papa.  We had a fantastic time.  Not only did we get to escape the still-hot DC weather, Andrew got to play with trains...

Make airport friends...

Watch lots of Thomas the Train...

Gather rocks with Gama and Papa and throw them in the water...

Play in puddles...

Visit with cousins...

And eventually make our way home.

Thanks to Tom, Bonnie, and Holly for taking such great care of Andrew!
